Baked camembert is a really tasty starter with a creamy warm melted interior and a firm outer crust. Perfect when served with cranberry sauce.
Ingredients
140g/5oz camembert
1 garlic clove, sliced
2 fresh thyme sprigs
1 tsp paprika
Method
Preheat the oven to 20C/425F/Gas mark 7
Place the cheese in an oven-proof dish.
Stud the cheese with the garlic slices and thyme sprigs.
Sprinkle the cheese with paprika.

Cranberry sauce goes perfectly with cold meats,game, turkey or crumbed, deep fried camembert.
Ingredients
300g of fresh cranberries
4 clementines (juice and zest)
120g white granulated sugar
25-50ml of Port (to taste)
Method
Wash the cranberries and discard any bad fruit.
Put the cranberries in a saucepan.
Wash the clementines and grate a little zest into the saucepan. Squeeze the juice in and add the pulp to the cranberries.
